Over the last six months the 2004 Cristal has come together beautifully and is shaping up to be a truly great
Taupenot Merme, Gevrey Chambertin Bel Air Vintage:2018 scattered all over Chambolle)(a little known 1er that sits directly above Chambertin Clos de Bze made from vines planted in 1973). An airy red pinot fruit nose nuanced by a lovely mix of game, earth, iron, underbrush and a touch of the sauvage that continues onto the supple, delicious and very pinot flavors yet the finish is intensely earthy and serious. In sum, this is an attractive mix of beautiful fruit and ample Gevrey character, particularly on the explosive finish.
